5 Valuable Business Tips from Celebrity Entrepreneurs

Every entrepreneur has their own journey, story and words of wisdom. In honor of Global Entrepreneurs Week, we’re sharing our favorite pieces of advice from the celebrity entrepreneurs who spoke at QuickBooks Connect. Take them, use them and grow your business!

Earvin “Magic” Johnson

Magic shared his view on how to best engage with potential customers if you want to take your business to new heights. And we’re talking heights well beyond Magic’s 6'9" frame.
“In the marketplace, it’s not enough to just deliver, it’s about over-delivering. Your business will grow if you over-deliver to your customers”

Martha Stewart

Martha listed the ingredients needed to be successful as an entrepreneur. Trust us, if anyone knows ingredients, it’s Martha.
“If you continue to utilize your passion, curiosity and strong work ethic, it will lead to long-lived business success.”

Bill Rancic

When Bill was a child, his grandmother taught him to make pancakes. Being a young-hearted child, Bill took it upon himself to invite his grandmother’s friends over for pancakes. To his surprise, they left him “tips” under their plates…and that’s how Bill got his first business opportunity. Flipping stacks turned out to be a scrumptious profit.
“In order to be successful, you have to be able to recognize opportunities, but more importantly, seize those opportunities.”

Arianna Huffington

Arianna explained that in order to experience happiness, we need to value ourselves above everything else. The founder of HuffPo is in the know.
“Our job is not as magnificent as who we are as human being. When we remember that, we can run our businesses with less worry and more joy.”

Giuliana Rancic

Because Giuliana took a risk at her E! News audition, she is one of the most prominent entertainment new anchors and entrepreneurs today. Hooray for Hollywood indeed.
